Gender equality emanates out of the advancement human rights and is a fundamental aspect of democratic citizenship. It belongs to the basic and universally recognised civil, cultural, economic, political and social rights. Infringement of such rights hinders societies from achieving the goals and benefits of development. Such issues are taken up at common forums where the children, the parents and teachers are all part of it. Gender sensitivity in education is not intended to put one gender head of another. It is instead aimed at providing equal access of opportunities to both genders.
