The Early Childhood Education Centre forms a part of the Junior School in which young children from age 3 plus to 5 plus are imparted foundation forming training in preparation for formal education later on. The emphasis is laid on the development of a child’s physical, intellectual, emotional, aesthetic and social aspects of personality. The children are offered ample opportunities for learning by doing, and the children’s individual progress is monitored closely. There are no formal tests and examinations, no tedious homework to complete at home and no odious comparisons within peer group in terms of position and percentages.
The methodology of child-centered education extends beyond the ECE to other classes in the Junior School where the children from age 7 onwards are motivated to learn by doing rather than depending on rote memory. The project method of learning is adopted in order to sustain and internalise learning. The curriculum that is evolved for each class focuses attention on academic excellence on the one hand and overall development of human personality on the other.
Curricular And Co-curricular Activities
Education at all levels is also viewed today as acquisition of skills rather than of bookish knowledge. As such, the curriculum imposes the imperative need of including in it a variety of activities that impart skills that can form the basis for a career later on. It is with this purpose in mind that all sorts of activities such as art and craft, photography, music, dance and drama, gymnastics, yoga and mass display of fitness and the learning of computers etc. are included in our curriculum. Children are encouraged to be original, creative, analytical and expressive.

House System
The traditional system of grouping children into different 'Houses'  has the inherent advantage of fostering loyalty, team spirit and healthy competition. The school has four Houses to which children are attached when they reach class IV. These are named after the four rivers of India - the Ganga, the Yamuna, the Satlej, the Cauvery. Interhouse, inter class and inter section competitions are organized in sports, cultural programmes, creative work and academics. Emphasis is laid on the development of values through co-curricular activities. Cultural activities are streamlined in order to nurture in children, the sense of pride for the motherland and its rich heritage and the sense of being a part of the biggest democratic and secular nation in the world.
